The Hydrogen Executive Leadership Panel is bringing together emergency responders, government regulators, scientists, consumers, and experts from the automotive and energy industries to facilitate a safe and orderly transition to hydrogen and other alternative fuel sources.  The Panel is focusing on issues involved in training, educating, and mobilizing emergency responders to work with government, industry, and community groups to facilitate and ensure hydrogen transport, storage and distribution, and the safety of vehicles and environs.

In 2007, the Panel will begin the process of producing consensus “best practices,” protocols, recommendations, curricula and other resources in support of public and private activities necessary to facilitate the transition.   The Panel follows the American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) National Conformity Assessment Principles for the United States to ensure that these resources are the result of a fair, balanced and transparent process.  The Panel shall publish procedures that govern this work.

Please Note: The Panel has just completed its new membership vote for 2007. Our new members are included in the member lists below. Please click here for a summary of our new member biographies.
