Hydrogen Executive Leadership Panel
Welcome to the website for the Hydrogen Executive Leadership Panel (HELP).
The mission of HELP is to bring together emergency responders, government regulators, scientists, consumers and experts from the automotive and energy industries to facilitate a safe and orderly transition to hydrogen and other alternative fuel sources.
The transition to an economy based on alternative fuels is an opportunity for U.S. energy independence, clean air and water, and economic growth. This transition must take place safely and involve all members of the community – consumers, producers, government agencies, codes officials, building engineers and the emergency responders who will be responsible for responding to incidents.
The next step in the road to United States energy independence is through currently available technologies including hybrid gas/electric engines, ethanol, methanol, biodiesel and compressed gases. Therefore, the scope of this project has branched out to include the full range of alternative energy technologies that are currently available and also on the horizon.
First responders must be confident that industry and also their own organizations are paying adequate attention to the safety of each of these fuels and are doing their best to share this information with them.
HELP is a unique forum for the members of this community to come together and plan a safe and orderly transition in a fair manner with the goal of developing a sustainable, economically feasible, environmentally responsible and safe energy infrastructure.
On this website you will find information about how HELP was developed, what specific projects HELP is working on, HELP meetings, our membership and how to become involved.
